Unfortunately Governor Ige told tourists not to come to Hawaii, so I lost my gig @ Aqua Hotel.  Hopefully I will be able to play there again when the number of cases go down.  I hope things get better soon so I can continue doing what I love…

I never knew what people meant by a 24hr flu, but I think I just had it.  On April 7th (my Birthday) I had an intense fever and body aches.  The next day it was mostly gone.  And today I feel pretty good.  So strange.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining.  I wish all my colds lasted to 2 days!  (knock on wood!)

Well, it’s been a while since I got sick. Sore throat and congested. Guess it was bound to happen when everyone around me is sick. I won’t be @ Princess Kaiulani tomorrow. I also won’t be there on Monday. They are trying a new Jazz Duo on Mondays. I will be there every Friday from now on. If the Jazz doesn’t work out, I will be playing on Mondays & Fridays.

So I’ve been trying some new vocal exercises. I think I’m singing “correctly” now. It’s kind of weird though, I can’t sing as high as I used to, but I have more power. I guess I’m not as breathy anymore. If some songs sound a little weird, it’s because I’m still getting used to it.

Hi guys! Yikes, haven’t posted in a while. So Busy! Got my schedule up for May. I might be playing @ the Haleiwa Farmer’s Market on Sundays. Not sure yet though. They just re-opened today. Wow, I think I found the Best home remedy for a cold! Hot tea (I used Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat)- added ginger, garlic, & cayenne pepper. Been drinking it twice a day. I was able to sing in 2 days! I’ve never been able to sing that quick after getting sick! Not 100% yet, but at least I don’t have to cancel anymore gigs. Hope to see you guys at PK tomorrow night.

I guess it could be because I workout a lot, and my doctor did say that singing every night will make me more prone to getting sick because my vocal chords are always in repair. I just got back from my private gigs on the Big Island yesterday. What a great trip! The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is Awesome!!! Thank you HGEA for flying me over there, you guys are the Best!!! Well, I’m still sick. I really hope I’m better by Friday. I have to sing at a Wedding. It’s the worst feeling for me when I have to sing sick, especially on someone’s special day. Please send me some positive, get-better energy! Thanks guys!

Sorry if you came to Roy’s tonight. I’m sick again. I really wish there was a way I could never be sick again. If you’re coming to see me @ Roy’s tomorrow, please check my schedule. Just got back from my snowboarding trip to Whistler Canada! One of the Best Trips Ever! Unfortunately I got sick on the last day, so I won’t be playing at Princess Kaiulani on Friday. I’m hoping to be better by Sunday so I can play at Wahoo’s Kahala. Check my schedule, I’ll be updating it regularly.

Sorry guys, I’ve een so busy lately, haven’t been keeping up with my blog. Played @ the AlaMoana Farmer’s Market this past Saturday. It’s a very cool market. Lot’s of fresh produce and a variety of good food. Definitely worth checking out. Not sure when I’m playing there next, you can check my schedule. I’ll be at the Haleiwa Farmer’s Market on Jan 29th. Played @ Janna Fong’s Wedding (Senator Fong’s granddaughter) last night. It rained a little, but it was still a beautiful wedding. I didn’t know the Mayor and Governor would be there! Congratulations Janna & Reid!
