Unfortunately Governor Ige told tourists not to come to Hawaii, so I lost my gig @ Aqua Hotel. Hopefully I will be able to play there again when the number of cases go down. I hope things get better soon so I can continue doing what I love…

I never knew what people meant by a 24hr flu, but I think I just had it. On April 7th (my Birthday) I had an intense fever and body aches. The next day it was mostly gone. And today I feel pretty good. So strange. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I wish all my colds lasted to 2 days! (knock on wood!)

Well, it’s been a while since I got sick. Sore throat and congested. Guess it was bound to happen when everyone around me is sick. I won’t be @ Princess Kaiulani tomorrow. I also won’t be there on Monday. They are trying a new Jazz Duo on Mondays. I will be there every Friday from now on. If the Jazz doesn’t work out, I will be playing on Mondays & Fridays.

So I’ve been trying some new vocal exercises. I think I’m singing “correctly” now. It’s kind of weird though, I can’t sing as high as I used to, but I have more power. I guess I’m not as breathy anymore. If some songs sound a little weird, it’s because I’m still getting used to it.

Wow, I think I found the Best home remedy for a cold! Hot tea (I used Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat)- added ginger, garlic, & cayenne pepper. Been drinking it twice a day. I was able to sing in 2 days! I’ve never been able to sing that quick after getting sick! Not 100% yet, but at least I don’t have to cancel anymore gigs. Hope to see you guys at PK tomorrow night.

I guess it could be because I workout a lot, and my doctor did say that singing every night will make me more prone to getting sick because my vocal chords are always in repair. Well, I struggled through my gig at Roy’s last night. Woke up feeling not so good. Not gonna be able to sing tonight at Roy’s. I need to get better by Saturday, I have a Wedding to sing at. Please send me more positive “get better” energy! Thank you!

Just got back from my snowboarding trip to Whistler Canada! One of the Best Trips Ever! Unfortunately I got sick on the last day, so I won’t be playing at Princess Kaiulani on Friday. I’m hoping to be better by Sunday so I can play at Wahoo’s Kahala. Check my schedule, I’ll be updating it regularly.

Played @ the Farmer’s Market in Haleiwa this past Sunday. Another beautiful day on the North Shore! Love it when little kids start dancing, totally makes my day!

I just picked up a last minute gig at the Kahala Hotel- Plumeria Cafe 3:00-7:00pm Friday. I might not play at the Princess Kaiulani, trying to find a replacement. I will update my schedule as soon as I find out.

Sorry guys, I’ve een so busy lately, haven’t been keeping up with my blog. Played @ the AlaMoana Farmer’s Market this past Saturday. It’s a very cool market. Lot’s of fresh produce and a variety of good food. Definitely worth checking out. Not sure when I’m playing there next, you can check my schedule. I’ll be at the Haleiwa Farmer’s Market on Jan 29th. Had fun playing for Watt’s Construction’s Christmas party at the Hilton Waikiki. There was an Awesome Jazz band named Souled Out that played after me, they were sooooo gooood!

Played @ Janna Fong’s Wedding (Senator Fong’s granddaughter) last night. It rained a little, but it was still a beautiful wedding. I didn’t know the Mayor and Governor would be there! Congratulations Janna & Reid!

Well, it’s been a crazy month for me, so busy! Last night my iphone4 didn’t want to turn on. I tried all the trouble shooting, gonna take it to the apple store today.
